How it works

SMAMA: automatic mitigation, around the clock.

SMAMA (Attack Monitoring and Automatic Mitigation Service) is the tool we built in-house at GINERNET: it analyses the traffic entering our network in real time, detects when a DDoS attack is under way and automatically diverts the traffic through the mitigation network. It doesn't matter if you get attacked at 4 in the morning: nobody has to press any button.

AntiDDoS questions, answered.

What kind of mitigation does the AntiDDoS include?
It's layer 3/4 mitigation, i.e. protection against volumetric attacks where the attacker's goal is to saturate your network: UDP and SYN floods, DNS/NTP amplification and similar attacks.
Do you offer layer 7 protection?
Yes, we offer layer 7 mitigation to protect websites, although it isn't part of the Voxility AntiDDoS. To get it, order our LiteSpeed Hosting or our Managed VPS.
What is SMAMA?
SMAMA (Attack Monitoring and Automatic Mitigation Service) is a solution developed at GINERNET that analyses the traffic entering our network in real time to detect when a DDoS attack is under way and, if so, automatically divert the traffic through an attack mitigation network.
How much does AntiDDoS protection cost?
Reactive mitigation is included by default on every IP of our network, at no cost. The proactive and permanent modes cost €3/month per protected IP. For ISPs, BGP protection starts at €250/month + VAT in its minimum configuration (€100 base fee + clean traffic + protected networks), with a one-off €100 setup fee. Compare the two options.
I have a VPS with you - how do I protect it?
It's actually already protected: reactive mitigation comes free with every IP on our network. If your service tends to attract attacks, add a Voxility or inLine AntiDDoS IP for €3/month by ticking the "AntiDDoS IP addresses" box in the VPS configurator - nothing to do with the BGP configurator on this page, which is for providers with their own network.
Is there DDoS protection for games?
Yes, we offer game-server-specific mitigation on the standard ports of each platform: Steam, TeamSpeak, Minecraft PE, FiveM, SA-MP, ARMA3/DayZ, Hurtworld, MTA and Mumble. Check the protected ports table.
Can you protect IPs that aren't on your network?
Yes. If you have your own network, we can scrub attacks on your own IPs through a BGP session against Voxility, with SMAMA included to automate detection and mitigation. Contact us and we'll get it up and running.
